The You Can Canoe Paddle Group

This group of like-minded people get together for a social paddle wherever and whenever they choose. They get in touch via WhatsApp and exchange thoughts, photos and weekly updates on paddling arrangements. The group also benefit from a discount on any YCC training course as well as a discount code for use with Up and Under Outdoor Clothing and Outdoor Gear both online and at their Cardiff store.

In the past we have ventured off for day trips down the River Wye, volunteered our services at Wimbleball Lake for safety cover at a triathlon in return for a day exploring round the lake. We have also spent a long weekend in North Wales on Lake Bala and paddled part of the river Dee at Llangollen.

This group is for paddlers aiming to improve their experience and skill by participating in different seasonal paddles. We try and cater for everyone, with trips on the sea and estuaries during the summer and playing on white water rivers during the wetter months.

When restrictions allow we hope to be able to spend some long weekends in Wales on the River Wye, Usk and Dee to name just a few. It is also planned to re-visit the Lochs and Rver Tay in Scotland at some point in the future.
